Beichen district is one of the four districts surrounding the city and locates on the north of the city downtown area. It is 110 kilometers away from capital Beijing,50 kilometers from the Tianjin new port and 15 kilometers from Tianjin Binhai International airport. With the total area of 478.5 square kilometers, Beichen district has the population of 320 thousand. There are developed infrastructure establishments in Beichen district, including transportation, communication, power supply and water supply. There are three streets and three towns locating between middle ring road and outer ring road. There are entrance and exit to Jingjintang ,Jinbao and Jinji expressways.Great geographic location and advanced infrastructure has created favorable environment for economic and social development in this region.

The sale income in the industry reached 40.97 billion yuan with an increase of 20.6%, increased value reached 8.59 billion with an increase of 20.9%, the taxation reached 5.56 billion yuan with an increase of 21.3%.

48 new project with 5million yuan investment were put into operation. Supporting ability from a series of professional market was further strengthened. The operation income in agriculture service reached 19.47 billion yuan with added value of 4.24 billion yuan, taxation of 1.93 billion yuan, increasing 21.3%, 21.2% and 20.8%.

There are 89 newly approved projects of joint venture, foreign cooperative and foreign solely owned companies, 61 new project with contractual foreign capital of 0.298 billion yuan ,increasing by 32.4%. The output from oint venture, foreign cooperative and foreign solely owned companies reached 16.9 billion yuan with an increase of 22.9%. The delivery output value for export in Beichen district reached 10 billion yuan and the foreign capital earned by export was $ 0.96 billion, increasing by 43% and 68.4% than previous year. The keynote role of science park became more and more prominent with 170 thousand yuan of contractual foreign capital and $ 835.9 million of real foreign capital, increasing 241.5% and 63.4% than previous year. The volume of export delivery and foreign capital earned from export accounted for 58% and 73.8% of the total in the district.　

Private economy become new growth point

There are 2293 new registed private industry and commerce business and 1136 private enterprises. Four advantage industry of steel, car sale, bicycle and furniture manufacturing form initially. The total sale income in the year registered at 24.4 billion yuan, added value 6.05 billion yuan, taxation value 3.01 yuan, increasing more than 22% than previous year.
